Come and experience two performative art forms from South America with Southern Cone cantoras and practitioners of Afro-Brazilian capoeira. This event celebrates narratives of gender and resistance in each of these practices.
Our guest artists (cantoras and capoeiristas from Chile, Argentina and Brazil) will lead a two-day event, with workshops (Iberian-American poetry and improvisation, sound pottery , capoeira movements and percussion) and a roundtable discussion and Q&A.
